Eligible children can receive dental care under the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS). From 2026, the CDBS provides up to $1,158 per eligible child for basic dental services over two consecutive calendar years. It is available to eligible children aged 0–17 for at least one day of the calendar year where the child or family receives an eligible Australian Government payment.

You can check eligibility through your myGov account, by contacting Medicare, or by contacting the centre. The team can check eligibility and the remaining CDBS balance using the relevant provider details before you book.

CDBS can cover eligible basic dental services including examinations, X-rays, cleans, fluoride, fissure sealants, fillings, root canal treatment and extractions.

For adults, Primary Dental Mt Druitt does not bulk bill. However, eligible patients may be able to use a NSW Health Oral Health Fee for Service Scheme (OHFFSS) voucher for treatment with a participating private dental provider. Voucher types may include urgent care, general dental care and denture care. To find out whether you are eligible, contact your local public dental service or the NSW public dental intake service for assessment and triage. The NSW public dental service can be contacted on (02) 9881 5230 . If a voucher is issued, it must be used for the approved treatment and within its validity period.

Same-day emergency appointments may be available depending on the dentist's appointment book. If you cannot see an appointment online, please call the centre and the team will do their best to find the earliest available appointment. If there is no immediate availability, you may be offered a standby appointment if a suitable opening becomes available.

We understand that toothache, broken or knocked-out teeth, swelling and lost fillings may require prompt attention. Please call as early as possible so the team can advise the soonest available appointment.

At Primary Dental Mt Druitt, an emergency appointment including a consultation and one X-ray is $137. This fee is indicative and may vary depending on your dentist and clinical needs. Additional X-rays or treatment, if required, will be charged separately.

If you have severe swelling affecting your breathing or swallowing, uncontrolled bleeding or significant facial trauma, go to your nearest hospital emergency department or call 000.

For adult new patients, the Check-up & Clean Package at Primary Dental Mt Druitt is $219*.

For children aged 12 and under, the Children’s Check-up & Clean Package is $99*.

If you have private health cover, the team can process your claim on the spot. Your out-of-pocket cost will depend on your fund, level of cover and applicable benefits. Primary Dental Mt Druitt accepts all health funds and is a preferred provider for selected funds.

Before any further treatment begins, your dentist will discuss the available treatment options with you and a quotation can be provided.

Primary Dental Mt Druitt accepts all major health funds and can process eligible claims on the spot using HICAPS/Tyro.

Primary Dental Mt Druitt is a preferred provider for Defence Health, Smile.com, NIB First Choice No Gap Rate and CBHS. The benefit you receive will depend on your individual policy and level of cover.

Payment options include Afterpay. For eligible patients considering more extensive treatment, Access My Super may also be available. Eligibility and conditions apply to both. If you do not have private health cover, ask the team about payment options when you book.
