Both pathways are available within the Primary Dental network depending on your location. The digitally designed denture service, available at selected centres, uses 3D intraoral scanning and CAD technology to design and fabricate your denture digitally, typically completing treatment in two to three visits without the need for traditional impression materials. At other Primary Dental locations, dentures are provided by a dental prosthetist at selected sites. A dental prosthetist is a registered oral health practitioner qualified specifically in the design, construction, and fitting of removable dental appliances including full and partial dentures. Both pathways involve a thorough assessment and a focus on delivering a well-fitting, functional result. The treating clinician at your nearest centre will advise on which service is available and most appropriate for your situation.

Digital dentures replace this process with a fast, comfortable intraoral scan that captures a precise three-dimensional record of your mouth. This data is used to design the denture using CAD software, with the final product fabricated using high-precision 3D printing technology. Your design is stored digitally, so future replacements can be produced quickly and affordably without starting the process again from scratch.
